Very nice vintage good quality hand sculpted Bust of Pope John Paul II in his younger years. It is 11 1/2 inches tall. Minor painted wear to face can be touched up overall good to very good. No chips cracks etc. In very nice condition. Nice high quality one of a kind sculptor of the Pope John Paul It has that Italian flare and good quality to it. It is signed in on the back of the neck of Pope John Paul the name is michelet. The base says John Paul II. Very nice detail down to some very intricate lines in his face. This is NOT a cheap copy this is the original statue that was formed by hand out of what looks to be a white clay then painted. A wonderful ONE OF a kind collectable.
